Refiring

Any refire temperature will depend on what temperature the clay and glazes were used the first time, and what you want to use now.

I’m a bit confused about why the piece is getting brittle over time. Was it fired in the first place, or ?

Hi Callie, thanks for responding. It was fired to stoneware originally but some of the binding wire was a bit thin so is brittle hence the glaze over it is not all that stable.  Could I glaze it with a lower firing glaze and fire to say 1100C.
