Jonie
Hello, Does any one by chance have a recipe for making low fire white slip without the talc? I do ceramics and was wanting to try a recipe without talc since its very hard to aquare since Texas talc company is not longer selling it. Thanks,
Mark C.
Just use another talc and do not sweat it. Cimtalc may work fine

I use 5 kinds of talc now myself just not in low fire bodies 3 of them are no longer in production so test test test.
Hulk
There is composition analysis, link to Cimbar datasheet, discussion on Cimbar talc, etc., here Talc shortage? New Talc - Cim Talc - Clay and Glaze Chemistry - Ceramic Arts Daily Community Who all is using it and how is it working for you? Axner is still carrying it. Mark C.
I have a bag of Cimbar unopened . It will be some time before I open it as I have 4 other kinds of Talc opened now. I mainly use serrialite. I also have some Desert talc and some HR100 talc (asbestos type) and some pioneer talc going as well. Depends on the application for me.
