My community studio has a couple of very old plaster reclaiming tables that are just not as absorbent as they used to be. Is there any way to revive these tables?
Would sanding/shaving off the top layers make a difference? Is that even something you can do with plaster without it ending up in all the reclaim?
Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

PS As this plaster bat is  proud of the table there are no access issues at the edges.
