Zanesart
Just purchased an old Paragon 100 portable controller and I cannot figure out where the thermal couple attaches. There's nothing but the 2 plugs in-and-out. Can anyone advise?

Is there a small hole in the side or bottom of the control box where it can go through, preferably with a grommet to hold it tight in the hole? Zanesart
There are no holes, so must go in thru the vent is the only thing I can see.
Bill Kielb
Grommet existed on some models. Post a picture of all sides, maybe with the back removed. They might have snuck a relief cut in.

Bill Kielb
Hmm, out there bottom vent it goes I guess unless you want to put a grommet in a clear safe location.
Zanesart
I was thinking of putting a female type k plug in the side. Was just baffled at the fact I can't find an entry point for one.
Bill Kielb
Sounds good, just use K rated stuff throughout, inside and outside to avoid unwanted couples.
neilestrick
What's that small hole by the power cord?

It’s a screw, but good idea, there is a matching one on the other side. Maybe you remove the screw on the side needed to feed your equipment and use the hole for feed through. Can’t imagine what those screws would be retaining on the inside actually.

I'm viewing on my phone and it looked like a hole. Simplest solution is to drill a hole and get a 50 cent grommet.
neilestrick
Tie a knot in the cord on the inside of the box to keep it from pulling out. Otherwise if the wire gets jerked hard it could damage the circuit board.
