The temperature in the room will depend on the ventilation, but at a guess, it adds 10-15 degrees C to my kiln’s outdoor shed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
neilestrick Posted December 21, 2020 Report Share Posted December 21, 2020 Do you mean the actual surface temperature, or the amount of heat that will be going out into the room? That will depend on the size and construction of the kiln. In a typical round kiln, the outer metal bands will be too hot to touch. If you're looking for heat output into the room so you can do HVAC calculations for venting, the kiln manufacturer should be able to supply those numbers.
