Blinford
I am brand new to ceramics. I am considering purchasing this kiln. It is a California Kiln brand gas kiln. I can’t find the company on line and was wondering if it is a good kiln for the price, asking $300.

neilestrick
Hard to say without a picture. Try emailing the pictures to yourself and see if it gives you the option to resize them. Otherwise, there are numerous apps out there that can be used to resize. Or do you have a link to a picture?
Mark C.
resize your photo so we can see the kiln .Resize the photo by emailing to yourself and changing it to small size also how many cubic feet as all kilns are listed that way-mearsure the interior if you do not know? terrim8
Looks like only one row of bricks all around? Or its not a good picture?
Mark C.
The price is cheap but the photo is really poor so I cannot see much kiln looks like it has only one layer of bricks? this company is long gone , Does that pile of stuff inside kiln include burners? it also looks to be an updraft. For 300$ you can still fix it up as thats super cheap.I have a small singe layer one burner kiln now for sale at 250$ and it only a few cubic feet so this ones a steal. Of course you never want to load or drive with it on a trailer as the bumpy ride will destroy it.
Mark C.
You can pick one up from Skutt in portland if you are ever heading thru there-no freight charge on pickup rehabing an old kiln is spendy I did one this year in January https://community.ceramicartsdaily.org/topic/21326-skutt-1227-rebuild/?tab=comments#comment-171678
