Evan79
Hi, Just looking for a suggestion for what works best to fix or touch-up these cracks and blemishes. Is there a tool or technique that fixes these without distorting the stamped pattern? Is there something I can do in the beginning to prevent this from even happening in the first place? Thanks in advance. Evan
oldlady
it was a little too dry to fold up that way. you can fix it because the crack is just a surface thing, not a real crack. just find a tool that is about the same size as the groove, something from your kitchen or cosmetic bag that is a round ball. a very worn down lead pencil can do it as well depending on the size of that groove. Babs
Might be quicker and more satisfying to remake. Was it too dry or or too short? Compress clay with a rib before stamping.
Evan79
Thank you. I think the clay was probably too dry versus being stretched too much. Also I use PAM spray on the stamp to prevent it from sticking to the clay as much. Actually the clay gets pretty saturated with PAM. I find that makes the imprint come out better. I wonder if the amount of PAM could be affecting the clay also?
