Adhearing Extensions to Vitrified Porcelain

What is the best adhesive or joint mechanism for attaching a non-ceramic object to a vitrified porcelain body? I have a dozen hollow porcelain "neuron" bodies which need their dendrites attached. The problem I have run into is fastening the dendrites (comprised of silicone around a wire skeleton) to the blunt end of my porcelain in a way that will be supportive of the weight of the materials. Above is an image link of a couple of the neuron bodies to give an idea of where the attachment is occurring. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Best,

Thank you everyone! I did end up using a quick-set 2 part epoxy, which (along with some critical study of leverage, gravity, and a pinch of finagling) stayed put quite nicely. Hammering out the wire and shaping it to the form increased the surface area which could be secured, and roughing the surface definitely gave it a good grip--although I did wear out a Dremel bit doing so!

Thank you very much for the advice and kind words!
