glazenerd
Went out this morning to shut down my two test kilns, and noticed one of them stuck in 8888 readout. Went through the manual, but nothing noted in error code, or help section. Lightning came through about 4 am, some striking very near the house: think it is fried. 1. I did hold the < and > buttons down together for several seconds to see if it would reset. 2. Turned off the main breaker, also trying to reset. 3. Pulled 4.0 controller from other kiln and wired into the kiln showing the error. It worked fine, so that would eliminate TC, relays, or other wiring issues; because it gave a proper read out. Thoughts, opines, etc? Already sent email to Paragon with model, serial number. etc. Even included serial # on back of controller. Nerd

neilestrick
It's done. If it won't reset then it's fried. Not worth repairing, either. You'll spend $150 minimum on shipping and labor. Get a Genesis to replace it!
