wvcasper1
There is something on my kiln lid I just got. As I did my trial run with bisque it smoked up my garage so what can I clean it with?
Mark C.
Need a photo to ever come close to an answer-Do not use any fluids on the kiln lid.
MatthewV
This is one of the questions that people here try very hard to never have to figure out. The kiln lid isn't a work surface! Now... I would suggest: If it can be scraped away, go ahead and do that. Remove as much as possible. If it has some wetness to it, absorb it up with towels and such. Or sprinkle some cheap dry clay on it. If neither of those is the case, burning it away with a propane torch would be my action.
Foxden
My first electric kiln had the imprint of a glove permanently branded on the lid. A reminder not to leave things on the kiln lid. The reminder has lasted a lifetime.
