  1. Took the panel off, found a wire on the 3rd element to the switch not connected good, fixed that. Also the top element was broken where it bends in through the brick. I guess my moving was kinda rough. Going to order all new elements and see what gives, lol.
  2. For the elements, nothing on low or med, let it run for 30 minutes, still cool. Switch to high on both switches, from top i get second element firing and very bottom element firing.
  3. Yes sir, I have the 2- 120v circuits line to neutral and the 240v line to line. It worked fine on 2 firings and quit working on low and med (no lights either setting, only on high). I cleaned the sitter contacts and the light come on for all settings only producing heat on high. I'm gonna pull the switch panel off again and re check everything on that side.
  4. No sir, just raised it up about 2 inches off ground with a pallet jack and moved it over 6 inches.
  5. I had read the thread by Greenman from 2019 and check the sitter, cleaning the contacts caused the light to start back working on low and med, but no heat from elements at all until turned on high. I'm gonna pull the switch panel again today and see if something is loose, I moved the kiln over 6 inches and that's when it decided to act up and not function on low, med.
  6. I've had this kiln for a few years , never used it till now. Decided to use it, giving my other kilns a break, lol, fired 2 loads through it great , worked on low, med, high and now it won't operate but on high, leaving 2 element none working. The light wouldn't even come on when turned to low or med. I took the sitter apart and cleaned the contacts. The lights come on now but elements will not heat up. Checked them, they are good. What's the chances both switches went out, kinda stumped here due to it not having relays ?
  7. Ok, checked all the middle elements again individually, they ohmed at 5.65 with the setting i was on, if my memory is correct. So I traced the feed lines, guess what, found it, lol. A feed line had come unconnected from where it gets power. Got everything reconnected and fired it back up. The middle section did not glow up fast but did ignite a paper test strip and my thermal gun read 295° after 5 minutes of run time, so I believe Im good to go. Thanks for all the help and info.
  8. Yes sir, thanks. Always got em disconnected, I don't do electricity very well, lol.
  9. Gotcha, thanks, I will dig deeper to figure this out since all ohmed correctly.
  10. There is a couple of relays, one appears to be linked to the switch. I wonder if they come on later in the firing, could be weak, I only turned the kiln on and ran for 15 minutes or so. Also the switch was in automatic and not manual.
  11. Ok , I found a broke spot in the bottom set, so that's a fix, but the middle section all ohm good individually. My switch was on automatic, switched it to manual. I'm going to replace the broke element and test again, thanks.
  12. Thank, im fixing to head out the the shop and check em out.
