If the clay had high plasticity when you formed it: you will probably pull this off. If it was low or short- cross your fingers.

I manage to push stuff pretty hard. Are you doing your lamps, or something else?

I have been doing that with a fairly high rate of success. That is what they were doing at a clay camp I was at. With porcelain. I was sort of shocked. I figured out how to do it at home.....I think you will be fine!
