Threw porcelain for the first time ever. >
It was not cooperative. I have been doing so well, yet I scraped off several flops. Finally I went back to B-Mix and my confidence was so shaken that I kept having flops with that too. Grump grump grump.- Show previous comments 4 more

I tried porcelain one time in college and it didn't go so well. It is one of the most challenging clays, IMO. But I might try it again. You know who is a good one to watch. Hsinchuen Lin on YouTube. It's sinful how he makes it look so easy. He's very good. And he does what Joseph pointed out; less water more slip. I know you'll master it Giselle.

I will try with less water and see if that helps. I was throwing some mugs for my dad which is the only reason I was using it. Lol, Guinea, I do think it was like cream cheese! -
I love Hsinchuen Lin. Something I really like us that he's never in a hurry. Some potters can throw a cup in four seconds which is great, but he takes his time! Patience is definitely a challenge for me.
