Holy Mother of Pearl! Now I know why kiln shops charge so freaking much to install new elements!!! That's quite a job!

Depends a lot on the type of kiln, and the brand of kiln. My L&L can get a new set of coils and blocks in 4 hrs. total, and that is with all fours sections being replaced.

Well, in my own defense, it was my first time. I'm sure if I ever have to do it again I'll be able to do it much faster. Like as in BUY A NEW KILN!!! Hahahahah!

I hesitated to say anything when you said you were looking for a deal on elements ... Knew that once you installed a set you would be happy you bought good ones! Horrible job!
