Had it open and I managed to crack about 25% of the pots. It did go from room temp to 400c in 30 min on the lowest setting. I need a smaller burner for the very start I think. All cone 9's and 10's down except right at the flue where cone 10 was starting to go.

stinks about the pots cracking but part of testing! how did the ones that didn't crack turn out? Wonderful stuff? You will figure out the firing stuff, look how far you have came!

Sweet :D I am excited. I will have to make some spare time when it arrives.

  3. Thank you I think I have been annoying the local welder with this project. I am very happy with how well it turned out. 100% better than I thought it would.
  4. I love your work, is it slip and stencils that you use?
  5. Thanks I haven't made it that far yet, still need to work out what I am going to use for the forced air and probably sort out a flame failure valve. After that it should be go for testing.
  6. Two more parts to be delivered then my forced air burner will be in nearly working condition :D

  7. I have been meaning to go through my galleries explaining a little better never happened yet. This is my kiln controller prototype, the little box with wires going to the breadboard is a small 5v relay that I can turn on and off with the computers power. That small relay is then switching a 12v line to turn on and off the big relay which controls the kiln power. You can see the four terminals that wires would be connected to (nothing connected on this picture)
  8. If only it worked! Fired twice and stalled out at 1000c. Not getting anywhere near enough oxygen. Looking into power burners now to solve that problem.
