New Kiln, Yea Hah!

Recommended Posts

Tooting my horn.  Just picked up my like new kiln yesterday.  Skutt1018 with digital controller.  The seller said it had been bisque fired seven times.  Came with set of shelves, didn't even have kiln wash on them. The kiln doesn't have a single chipped brick.  I am rocking.  Paid $1000 for the whole package so I feel like I got a pretty good deal.

Excellent! I just recently acquired my first kiln and it's a Skutt too, only mine is a Model 181 and it cost me $85 + gas to pick it up! Yes, it needs all of the elements replaced but to be fair, it does have a sitter! I am very lucky in that my hubby is a German Engineer, so he is going to refurbish and build an electronic controller for me. Woot!
