NanetteV
Any ideas for making glaze tongs?
neilestrick
I have used commercial tongs for 22 years. The same set, in fact. The thing I like about them is that they are slightly flexible, so I don't put holes in my pots. I find that tongs that are made of modified pliers put too much pressure. Mark C.
I have 4-5 sets all very old and its like Neil said some things are just easier to buy. Mark
NanetteV
Yeh, I know, but I'm just a dope about making stuff.... Got "hot dog" tongs at the dollar store that I'll try to modify. Need the teeth parallel, not like a + to grip object. Been using the same store bought ones for 30 years, but they don't quite work with a new odd shaped pot that is a commercial success. Min
Don't know the shape of the pot you need tongs for but for shallow things like lids and tiles that you dip more on a horizontal plane plus little itsy bitsy stuff I use filed down staple removers. They are cheap and they work, I just filed down the prongs so they fit on the rims / edges.

Oh where oh where did they go. The scavenger hunt is ON! Terry
