TJR Posted March 23, 2013 Report Share Posted March 23, 2013 I am pretty sure it is. I worked in England as a potter, but it was in 1978. I'm a bit foggy on the terminology we used. I think so too, only the recipe for it (from Jane Hamlyn) in the book calls for a mixture of cellulose wallpaper paste, alumina hydrate and ball clay. Perhaps the wallpaper paste is so that it adheres to kiln shelves and maybe give it more body to resist the sodium corrosion from the salt firing....? Anyway, it is probably the same.
