Charles Burleigh
I am looking to add color to the foot ring after firing cone 6 white porcelain. Looking to make the foot ring black. Any recommendations as to what to use? Have tried India Ink, black shoe polish, black shoe dye. So far of these the black shoe dye looks the most promising. Also considering black underglaze, although it wold not be fired. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Rae Reich
Acrylic paint keeps its color well over time. India ink is “traditional”. Shoe polish is intended for very smooth surfaces and might not polish up to be “sealed” on ceramic, even porcelain. JohnnyK
