Nancy Todd
I have an old Amado 15 pottery wheel that still works great, but the frame and seat are unusable. Can I purchase another frame for this model. Any information would be helpful, thank you nancy Todd
Hulk
Hi Nancy, welcome to the forum! Is that an Amaco? Not finding anything Amaco 15. Ah, is it a kickweel with a tubular steel frame? Please post a picture, if possible.
neilestrick
Is it one of those old electric wheels with the built in seat, all on a steel frame? If it is, you won't find any new frame parts for it. They haven't been made in decades. The Amaco #15 wheels I've found on the web do not have the built in seat, though. Post some pics. Nancy Todd
It is an amaco 15 electric wheel and andhad a tubular steel frame w/ built in seat. Would appreciate ideas for mounting on a new stand. Thanks for input.

neilestrick
I would remove the wheel portion and mount it onto its own little support structure like a small table, and just use a stool to sit on. A simple table built with 4x4's and 2x4's with a plywood top (seal the plywood) would work just fine. Or even put it up on cinder blocks. graybeard
I might get laughed out of here, but my first wheel was home made. Most of it started out as a cloths dryer, the rest was 2x4s. I wish my "real wheel and stool" was as comfortable, absolutely you can build a good solid wheel/seat frame and it will fit you not the average person.
