classy106
Can anyone help identify this ceramic? It would be most appreciated. It is, or seems to be, made of clay, it is round with a sunken image of a fish. When dry, it really doesn't look like much, but when wet it, it is as if it COMES ALIVE! I cannot find anything like it. There is a signature on the back, but we cannot make it out. I have attached pictures of it. As you can see, it is a glazed fish, including blowing something out of its mouth when wet. Thank you for your help. LeeU
If this is not for sale in the Marketplace, it is more appropriate to post your query in Clay and Glaze Chemistry. Very intriguing-I hope to see an answer!
