Richard Cochran
We have a 1979 wheel made by Walsh Mfg. , St Paul, Minnesota who I guess is no longer in business. The speed control box has a burned resistor that needs replacing but is so burnt I can’t make out the color coding. The motor has no nameplate . Does anyone own one of these and have a schematic for the controller? Alternatively a replacement motor/controller.
Min
I did a quick search of back issues of Ceramics Monthly but the only thing I came up with was an old advertisement for Walsh Mfg. from June 1978, is the first image your wheel? Post some pictures, it should help.

Richard Cochran
That’s the wheel. At least I now know the motor is 1/2 hp. Thank you it’s a start.
