Callie Beller Diesel Posted July 29, 2019 Report Share Posted July 29, 2019 You can put them on at almost any time before a glaze goes over them, but I prefer to add them at the leather hard stage. A lot of the underglazes I’ve used accept glaze more easily if the gums and binders are fired out in the bisque. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
neilestrick Posted July 29, 2019 Report Share Posted July 29, 2019 Before bisque, because they'll take glaze better once the binders are fired out. On bone dry you can probably get full coverage with two coats, whereas on leather hard it will probably take 3. Bone dry work is more fragile, though.
