Roger the Bowl Maker
Help!!! I'm Dyslexic and I am finding the web in general a bit like a 'rabbit hole', can anyone help me with a couple of low end stoneware glaze 'base' recipes (1200-1240, cones 5/6/7), a transparent glossy and a mate finish? I hope someone can help me?
LeeU
This is in the archives of CAN and offers a free download which is terrific. https://ceramicartsnetwork.org/category/ceramic-glaze-recipes/mid-range-glaze-recipes/
Min
@Roger the Bowl Maker, there really isn't a one size fits all recipe for gloss and matte glazes. Perhaps if you could let us know which clay you are using someone else on the forum from your part of the world, UK?, will have used the same clay and be generous enough to share their recipes or point you in the right direction. Chilly
Hi @Roger the Bowl Maker Sounds like you might be in the UK? Try to get hold of a book by Michael Bailey called Glazes Cone 6. It is written for UK sourced materials, and takes you through lots of examples.
