  1. I cranked it down quite a bit and it's definitely better, but I think perhaps a new belt is in order anyway. Thanks for all the help!
  2. Hi all. I'm new here and I'm sure this has been answered numerous times, but I couldn't find exactly it, so...I just purchased a 90s CXC that must have been sitting for a bit. The wheel head didn't spin, but when I checked it out I could hear the motor spinning so that was a good sign. When I was finally able to open it up there was some mouse house remains as well as some snakeskin in the belt housing. There's a story there somewhere...anyway, the belt had come off, so after I cleaned it up I just put the belt on and the machine runs smooth. However, when I center or put some pressure on the wheel head it slows down, so I'm wondering if I should just order a new belt and see if that clears that up (though the belt looked fine visually), or if I should do something else. Basically, I'm wondering if I have a belt problem, a motor problem, or some other issue. Otherwise, the machine runs nicely...no wobble, decent pedal speed, etc. Thanks everyone!
