You are brave Alabama ... Around my house some other animal would dig up that tasty bulb then the whole story would end badly!

Chris - I can't think of any vermin that eats our Jonquil, i.e. Dafodil bulbs. We have possums which become roadkill while eating roadkill. We have "possums on the half shell",
a.k.a Armadillos
which eat worms and grubs. Thats why we can put bulbs at graves and mark
property lines, to keep surveyors accurate.

I love the Rainbow Bridge poem. I share it with friends who have lost their pets. Always brings a tear to my eye.
