  1. Happy Day.....temp has not reached 90 yet. This is my first post. Question: When making engobes from ones claybody (white stoneware for Cone 5), is it true that we can add Mason Stain and the color you see is the color you get after firing. I read this and I am SKEPTICAL. If you have some understanding of this theory, I would be interested. Diane

      This is pretty much true for most colors, unless you glaze the colored piece with a clear glaze then they become brighter.
