  1. Is there a material, or a glaze property, that predicts if a glaze will generate one color at one thickness, and another at a different thickness, specifically when pooling? Joel.
  2. I got time to watch that video Bill and it was wonderful!!! Thank's again!
  3. Thanks Bill. I don't think it was you, but that looks like some awesome material to go through. Thanks again! Joel.
  4. Someone posted some insightful work on glaze chemistry with a couple of great graphs. The covered the silica-alumina ratios and where different effects would occur on a triangular graph. I can't remember much more than that, so this is a Hail Mary. Would anyone know the person's name, or about when those posts were made? I've must spent a half-hour searching with no luck. Joel.

From what I can see of your handles, it looks like you have good control. Joel.
  10. Nice bowls. I love it when people take the motion of the wheel and incorporate it into the work. Joel.

    I dig those fish man.
  12. I was wondering that the zinc might be fluxing something when I first saw it, but I to quickly assumed the structures coming out of the trays were testing probes or something put in after the firing. Now, my guess would be that you are growing crystals. I would guess that the narrow tops are from the lower energy level of the early vapor condensation and accretion on I guess a crystal imperfection, then when the material became more energetic the diameter expanded to allow the molecules to order themselves accordingly. The structure has to be light enough to be lifted by the surface tension of the source material. But, that is a very uneducated guess. Beyond that, wow, how cool! Joel.
  13. Lily, I use a chattering tool.

Nice work. I need to do something like this. Joel.
