Tenmoku Sake Set

I like the bottle that color. But maybe thats just me. Interesting though the difference in colors between the firing.

Thank you! It does not show too much in this shot the color difference http://sta.sh/0bws2alm3j1but here you can see it is much more red than the dark brown I was going for.

I've learned to put sets together even if they are all different heights, for this very reason!! 

But you know what, Sydney? I like that the bottle is different from the cups. It works. I think if it was one or two cups a different color it would seem more like a flaw. Since the cups are all the same color and only the bottle (which is already different) is the color that's more red, I find the effect very pleasing! 

Randomness is acceptable in form, but not in glaze? Are we sure about that?

Not sarcasm: merely pointing out the limitations that are often self imposed. If we as a trade celebrate randomness in a form: then we should also embrace it in a glaze.

Ah I see, so pointing out that randomness should not be seen as flaws in all aspects of the ware?
