Eucalyptus Carved Platter

Giselle, just beautiful. Is the brown that's visible near the carving a result of how this glaze breaks or did you slip over your white stoneware?

Good work on the stoned denim. When I worked with that glaze I was never able to get those results. Beautiful carvings. 

@TLDinNC That is the break over carving. Love this glaze. Shows any kind of texture, raised or carved.

 

@Joseph F. Thanks! I've found that this glaze needs 4-5 coats for the lovely lighter blue float to really come up. It does bubble sometimes but the risk is worth it for the color.

It always bubbled on me. I might have fired it to hot though. I dunno, that was back when I didn't know nearly what I know now, which is still very little. Great work though, I bet it sells fast.

Sorry, somehow I missed all these comments! This is brushed. I've used Stoned Denim dipped but it gives more of a uniform look, a lighter, more solid blue. I love the random streaks of brown mixed in with the blue so even though I just purchased 5 lbs of it I still plan to brush it on.
