VanGogh1988
I'm a student at a college in the United States and I've been trying to get my hands on some Terracolor 620 'Lugano Blue' glaze, preferably in powder form to use in my ceramics class. However I haven't found anyone in the US that distributes it, and the UK company Scarva has not replied to my emails inquiring about shipping overseas and the like. Could anyone else give me any leads on how to get this glaze? Thanks!
dee3
Hi there, I am totally new to this forum too and making a return to clay after 13 years. There are a few suppliers in England you could try but I reckon shipping would work out to be quite expensive. bathpotters.co.uk potterycrafts.co.uk ctmpotterssupplies.co.uk Hope this helps. regards Dee
Evelyne Schoenmann
I live in Switzerland and my supplier here is selling the following Terracolor powder: http://shop.lehmhuus.ch/index.php?page=product&info=2593 Is that the one you are looking for? If yes, send them an email and ask for the shipping costs. I hope you will find the right powder. Good luck. Evelyne
VanGogh1988
Thank you very much Evelyne! That is indeed the correct powder, however I cannot read German, so I'll have to find a friend to read the website for me
ayjay
I'm surprised that Scarva have not responded, I've dealt with them a couple of times and they've always been efficient. They do ship to the USA according to the info on their website, and they have the Lugano Blue in stock. I notice your post was at 6.30 a.m. UK time. Have you taken into account the time difference and given them time to respond?
VanGogh1988
I did end up getting a reply this morning. "Thank you for your enquiry but unfortunately we are unable to send to the States. The cost of transport makes it prohibitive." Was what they said, so scarva won't ship to the United States. Evelyne Schoenmann
To VanGogh1988 First of all: could you please tell us a bit more about yourself (name, location) and please fill in your profile/member infos. That would be less impersonal. We are among friends here. About the Lugano Glaze: I just asked at my supplier store about the shipping price for the glaze and if they are shipping to the States at all. I'am awaiting an answer till tomorrow (European time). I also asked whether somebody in the shop is speaking Englisch, so that you could email directly with them. Will keep you in the loop! Evelyne update January 18th: sorry, I didn't get a response until now. I will remind them of the topic Monday. Stay tuned.
