dhPotter
Here is an observation on the COE set in InSight glaze software. Insight COE set has this x 10-6 in/in/degree C - linear Ron Roy COE set has this x 10-7 in/in/degree C - linear E and E COE set has this x 10-8 in/in/degree C - linear Could this have something to do with calculated COE differences? Min, which COE set are using? Does the 10-6 mean 10 to the 6th power? I don't know this notation.
neilestrick
A negative exponent means you do the inverse, so 1 divided by the number. For instance, 2 squared is 4, but 2 to the -2 power is 1/4 (0.25) In the case of 10, it means places to the right of the decimal, so there would be a difference in the COE number in where the decimal is placed, which is easily translated.
