Studio 491
I just installed my new Brent 4" wall mounted extruder and it does not grip the vertical post when I pull down. I have soft clay and I am not exerting much pressure. The install is level. Any suggestions?
Mark C.
It's a shackle which is smooth an a smooth pipe-there is a learning curve-lift it higher for more bite until you get the hang of it.The clay hardness or softness will make no difference Mark
Studio 491
I looked at a friend's Brent and it is set up exactly like mine- only older. I came home and slathered some clay on the back of the vertical post to give it some grip. PERFECT!!
Mark C.
Never had to do that-after a fe uses your shackle will mar the pipe and grip fine. Mark
neilestrick
Worst extruder design ever, and totally dangerous. I've seen so many people get smacked and pinched by that thing sliding down the pipe. Be careful!
