very nice!  would be great with black-eyed susans. 

the true test comes now, will it hold water without leaking?  test by filling it and putting it on a piece of dry paper for 24 hours.   (i have made many folded vases that leak)

This is very interesting, including the way you have done the exterior glazing. I love red clay. When I hand-build something tall, though, it typically warps.

@Oldlady, I've had a gorgeous stem of purple rhodies in it for about a week now. I should post a pic of the inside the glaze really is gorgeous in there. I wish I hadn't wiped quite so much off.
