LeeU
I did a number of site searches here & elsewhere and did not find my issue. I will not have a full kiln load for my initial test fire and bisque fire (a deadline is involved.) Shall I fill the space with soft brick or WHAT???? Thanks in advance for any feedback. neilestrick
Just spread the load somewhat evenly throughout the kiln. No worries. The kiln doesn't know if it's full, but it knows if it's uneven.
jolieo
Good Morning, what does the kiln knowing its uneven mean? Please? Thank you
neilestrick
If you pile everything at the bottom and leave the top section open- in a sitter or single zone kiln, the bottom will probably be cold. In a multi-zone kiln, the kiln will have to work harder to keep the bottom even with top. In either case, if you spread everything out it will fire evenly.
