Larisa
Hello everyone! In the previous batch of products, I noticed blue specks on most of them (as if it were ink). Now I'm trying to figure out whether the issue is with the clay or the glaze. At first, I suspected the clay, but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone perhaps use Mayco SW-004 (zinc free) transparent glaze and/or have experienced similar issues? A lot of work has been put into these pieces, and it feels like this specks affects the overall appearance. I am also attaching some photos. Bill Kielb
Any spots on the unglazed feet? While not a confirmation if there are spots - could be the clay or something that contaminated the clay. It may provide more confidence in the clear for additional testing.
High Bridge Pottery
I would say it's the clay as the opaqueish underglaze don't have many spots but the translucent ones do. Edited September 2 by High Bridge Pottery
