Then allow to dry in a draughty place, with lots of air movement.
Jeff Longtin
As a general rule its best to store a mold assembled rather than disassembled. (If its a multi part mold.) Mark's comment is a good one as well. Like Chilly suggests wiping the mold down with clean water is best. Do not store molds near a heat source if you don't know how hot it gets. Above 120 degrees and the mold may start to break down. Metal racks made of wire are great for storing molds. They allow for air movement. Shelves made of sheet metal are fine if you know the mold is completely dry. Same with plywood shelves.
Jillyissilly88
To clean and store molds used in slip casting, I usually rinse them out with water and then scrub them with a soft brush to remove any remaining clay residue. Then I let them air dry completely before storing them in a cool, dry place to prevent any mold growth. Easy peasy!
