Black burn marks on bisqueware

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am occasionally getting black/dark brown burn marks on some of my pieces when they are bisqued .  I’m aware it’s likely due to them being too close to the elements when firing, but is there any way to get rid of them before I glaze? I thought they would disappear after they were fired (C6) again but using a white glaze the black is still very visible. Any help would be appreciated :)
