How to repair a Brent splash pan?

In our community college studio, the Brent Wheels get a lot of use, and the splash pans have occasionally broken where the two halves join. The break is always in the half of the pan where there is a hole and the plastic splits.  Of course, then the two halves do not connect well after that happens.

Does anyone have a repair idea to fix this problem after the tab splits?

Plastic is a hard repair. My thought is try to use plastic epoxy before the split really breaks off. You sand (roughen the plastic where glue is going) clean that off and mix up epeoxy made for plastic repairs. You can find that at most hardware stores.Apply and clamp and let cure.  I will add that Brent splash pans last 40-50 years and I have never seen one break so your students must be rough on them. Have you reached out to Brent to see if they (directly via Amco) will replace them for free or discount?
