Katerina
Hi to all! I am new to ceramics and firing, so any advice on buying a used Skutt 818 kiln would be very helpful. I found this kiln ad on marketplace in my region (Greece) for 500€ and I would like to know whether from looking at the photographs the owner sent me there seems to be damage to the kiln that I should take into consideration before buying, and if the price seems fair. Thank you, Kat
Bill Kielb
Looks a bit rough and in need of TLC in my view. If you are handy at brick replacement, element replacement then maybe ok for you. Being new to ceramics though in my opinion I would look for something in better condition. neilestrick
Pass unless you're familiar with kiln repair and have a few hundred dollars to spend on parts.
