MtnDog
Hello hello! My "wintering" project this year is to create tabletop and garden fountains, made entirely of stoneware (some elememnts wheel thrown, some hand built) and all to have several tiers. Looking for recommendations on the right kind of water pump to use. So many different options on Amazon - looking for recommendations from you all. Thanks!! JohnnyK
That depends...on the size of the fountain, the water output of the pump, the effect you want with the water...Each parameter would require a different size pump. You wouldn't want to use the garden pump in a tabletop fountain and vice-versa. Here is an example of a fountain I built as part of a Raku class a few years ago which used a small pump which gave me a gentle flow of water. A bigger pump would have been too much for the effect I wanted. So, you have to decide...One good thing about Amazon is that they have a pretty generous return ploicy if your pump doesn't work for the fountain you tried it in. Welcome to the forum, Jen!
