Hi All,

I found a used Skutt 3 phase to purchase, but am currently looking for studio space and concerned that I can only use 1 phase. Does anyone have any idea what this would cost for the conversion if necessary?

Thank you,

Betty

You'll need a new power cord, power terminal block, and wiring harness, which will cost about $150 total. Will the voltage be staying the same? If the voltage is changing (208 vs 240) then you'll also need a new set of elements, which will cost you about $60 per element. Depending on the kiln, going to single phase can also affect the max temp rating of the kiln. What model is the kiln, and what voltage is it currently set up for?
