Fizzdog
Hoping someone can help. After a 740 lustre firing a few pots have come out with the top 1/3 having a crystal texture all over, almost like rough sandpaper. This is inside and outside. We use a low sol glaze. It doesn't happen on every firing, just seems random. The lustre (which is just in a few places) has worked perfectly however. Any ideas?

Some glazes just aren't compatible with lustres or lustre firing. I have one that is normally a blue green but goes completely matte in a lustre firing due to zinc and titanium crystallization
Min
@Fizzdog, post a picture or two of the problem. Try and include a close up.

All 3 pots had titanium on them, as an underglaze colour. Would that have an affect?
