James Anderson
Powered the kiln and the light comes on. Lock the lid and the TC3300/1 controller appears to be dead (no display). Looked inside the box attached to the kiln, no obvious broken wire, nothing appears to be burnt out, found a bank of 4 glass fuses and these appear to be OK. I don't want to assume that its the controller, buy one and find its something else. Any suggestions welcomed.
neilestrick
Without seeing a wiring diagram I can give you any definite things to check, but in general you should check the lid safety switch, controller power switch (if it has one), the fuse to the controller (may be different than the bank of 4 you found), and the transformer that powers the controller. Ultimately you'll need to take a meter and trace the power lines back from the controller and see where the power stops.
Chilly
Is there an on/off switch on the underside? We have a similar controller at the centre.
