Susan Sirois
i am a beginner. i need to choose a low fire clay. quite frankly i am overwhelmed at all the choices. i do not have a apottery wheel, so just coil and slab work for now. i guess i will need something that doesn't mind being reworked alot. lol and as i said it needs to be low fire. will appreciate any help. also will be doing things that will be outdoors in gardens if that matters. Your choices with low fire clay are pretty limited. You're generally looking at white clay or red clay (terra cotta), both of which are available in smooth or groggy versions.
