ml_cain3
I have learned so much from this website that I thought I would offer something in return. I have found that the local beauty supply store carries a wide variety of nail buffers and files. Among these are small foam blocks for trimming and buffing both natural nails and artificial ones. I bought several of the blocks of different grit sizes, and use them for smoothing bone dry greenware of stray grog grooves and unwanted throwing marks. The coarsest really scrapes, and the finest really smooths. They are cheap, washable, and last a long time. There is also a wealth of strange and wonderfully textured "stuff" in that shop to keep me coming back.
neilestrick
Thanks for the tip! Make sure you wear a respirator when sanding bone dry work, and do it in a well ventilated room. Clay dust is not healthy!
