I think the big thing here beyond the shape is the whistling bird, This is made in such a way as the pouring motion creates a vacuum that is filled by air coming in through the birds mouth. Making the whistle is not a problem, just a little thinking through and trial and error. As said before the extruder, and throwing should get you the forms.
