Lucille Oka
where do i purchase clay, is there a store near me, i'm in ct Try Ceramic Supply of New York and New Jersey in Lodi, NJ (spend a certain $$$ amount and they have free shipping check to see when they deliver to your area). Also there is Bailey Pottery Equipment and Ceramic Supply 62-68 Tenbroeck Ave. Kingston, New York 12401. Lakeside Pottery Studio 543 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT., they have a very informative website. This is enough to get you started. Get catalogs, ceramic text books, take a course if you never have. 'Google' your area for more selections.
Marcia Selsor
If you can get a copy of this year's Buyers Guide that Acers gives away at NCECA, it list all suppliers in the US. and then some. You might also consider exactly what clay you want to buy. I have a friend in SW CT who orders clay from Tuckers. Marcia
KellyRainey
where do i purchase clay, is there a store near me, i'm in ct Just an FYI - if you have to order from the internet I recommend ordering the amount that the website states you get free shipping on (if they have it). If you do not need that much and you have a friend in the area that also needs clay order with them and split everything. It will be much less expensive if you can get free shipping or split it with a friend. If you have a College or University in your area that has a ceramics program you might be able to talk with the program chair or director and see if they can order some clay for you when they order their clay. You could also try to find a student who might be willing to split costs with you.... Good Luck...
