  1. I just found out that all of our work is fired reduction by default. I also found out that only Soldate 60 and Porcelain are fired to cone 10, everything else is a cone 5 clay but fired to cone 6....I am still confused. I must bother the professor more with the how and why.

      I mean, I get the firing in reduction part because we have two massive gas kilns plus tons of bright red and other glazes... but the firing cone 5 clays to cone 6? Why? Why not just get cone 6 clays or have all cone 10 clays? Obviously they are not concerned about costs and ware and tear due to low tuition and dirt cheap clay (lol). *head hurts*
