  1. I have a dipping glaze for my classroom, but want to have a small bottle, do the students can brush it on as well. What should I add to the small bottle? Epsom Salts to keep it suspended? Gum solution so it dries slower?

I got some Amaco gum solution, you add a couple tablespoons per pint. Makes a great brushing glaze. Previously I had just used the dipping glaze but I found it dried out too fast and was dripping and bubbling.

CMC can make it painterly as can glycerine, or am I thinking majolica colours, bit early for me after late night kiln watching.

CMC gum would be my choice. Will keep it suspended, with the added benefit of smoother brushing qaulities.
